| GrowWild @ Wyre Estuary We have joined the pilot for the Kew Gardens Grow Wild campaign and used it as the perfect excuse to get Dads to come to Guides. Obviously not every girls Dad was available so it was opened to Mum's, Grandparents, Older Siblings etc. We spend some time with one the grounds keepers at the site who explained the |
importance of bees and why this campaign was so important.
We planted lots of seeds in a special memorial part of the grounds and the girls had great fun! The ground was a little hard due to the hot weather but it didn't stop them trying!
After the planting was completed, it was time for a little fun, in teams everybody was tasked with finding the longest blade of grass and largest leaf ... the competition was tough and the adults as always took things very seriously LOL The evening was completed by playing a few parachute games which everybody really enjoyed!!!
